He did his MBBS from KSU and Pediatric residency in PSMMC, Riyadh, KSA and fellowship Program in Biochemical Genetics, University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada. Currently, he is Program Director of Medical Genetics Fellowship Program at KASCH-KAMC and Chairman of National Medical Genetic Fellowship program at SCHS, Saudi Arabia. He is member of the Board of Directors of Saudi Society of Medical Genetics and member of many national and international societies, in addition to other regional and international initiatives. He has published > 65 papers with special interest in discovering novel genes associated with neurogenetic disorders and describing their clinical and molecular characterizations via local and international collaboration. In addition, we are working at KAMC on two promising clinical projects about prevention genetic and NGS.

Dr. Makki Almuntashri is a consultant Neuroradiologist and Program Director of Neuroradiology Fellowship at King Abdulaziz Medical City Since 2012, he is Assistant Professor of Radiology at King Saud University of Health Sciences, And Head of Imaging Research at King Abdullah International Medical Research Center, in Riyadh city, Saudi Arabia. He earned his Radiology Residency training at McGill university followed by 2 years of fellowship in Neuroradiology at University of Toronto from 2004-2011, certified with Royal college of Canada and American Board of Radiology. He is interested in functional neuroimaging and have started it in his institution and developing the imaging unit in his research center which includes MR-guided HIFU and animal imaging.

Dr. Almontashiri is a board-certified in two subspecialties; clinical molecular and biochemical genetics, by the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG). He is also a certified consultant of molecular genetics by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). He is currently an assistant professor of medical genetics at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences and the Director of Center for Genetics and Inherited Diseases, and the dean of scientific research at Taibah University. He has a clinical and research track record of leading, collaborating and publishing genetic studies on Saudi and non-Saudi cohorts and families in top journals in the field such as Nature Communications, Circulation, The Journal of American College of Cardiology (JACC), the American Journal of Human Genetics (AJHG), Genetics in Medicine (GIM), Cell Reports, and Clinical Chemistry Journals. He has years of experience in developing diagnostic clinical molecular and biochemical genetic assays.

Dr. Tabarki completed his medical school at the University of Tunisia and his residencies in pediatrics, pediatric neurology, and neurophysiology at Paris V University, France, and UCL-Brussels, Belgium. He is currently consultant pediatric neurology at Prince Sultan Military Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, clinical tutor pediatric neurology residency program, and adjunct Professor. His fields of clinical and research interest include epilepsy, movement disorders, neurometabolic and neurodegenerative disorders. Academic teaching contributions include international courses and research focused on the same disorders, leading to numerous publications (100 PubMed indexed). He is a member of the editorial boards of Frontiers pediatric neurology, and Neurosciences.

Dr. Gabriella Horvath is a Biochemical Geneticist working both in the pediatric Biochemical Diseases Clinic at BC Children’s Hospital and at the Adult Metabolic Diseases Clinic, at Vancouver General Hospital, British Columbia, Canada. Her main clinical and research interest is focused on neurometabolic disorders, with emphasis on neurotransmitters. She works closely with her colleagues from the division of Neurology and has successfully established pediatric and adult neurometabolic clinics in Vancouver. Since the foundation of the “International Working Group on Neurotransmitter Related Disorders (iNTD)” in 2013, she has been an active contributor to the web-based patient registry and the development of consensus guidelines for these patients. Her special interest is in secondary neurotransmitter disorders and their pathophysiologies and mechanisms.
